I just came across this wonderfully interesting human television series called "Avatar: the Last Airbender". I really don't understand this whole 'tee-vee' thing much at all. most of it seems horribly confusing, but I must admit I am quite enjoying this! :D The artwork is superb, and I am enamored with the various martial-arts styles displayed. :)

I would love to try to learn some of these Earthen martial-arts styles. Are there any Autobots out there who could possibly be a teacher? If not, I suppose it'd have to be self-taught lessons. I trust there are resources out there to learn from. It won't be as effective, but I somehow doubt I'd fit in a human's dojo. ^_^;

Is anyone else interested in taking lessons with me? :)

And also, does anyone know when the next season will start? ^_^;

I love Avatar: The Last Airbender. I think Suko is my favorite character. He can't bend but he's just as important as the rest of the group. And he's smart. I don't have a clue when the new season will start, though. If you do find out, let me know. I don't want to miss a single episode...Okay, which do you like Kataang or Zutara?

And I would be very interested in taking lessons. Sign me up.

Martial-arts? Oh man, I haven't really practiced since... Primus... I was fifteen? Damn. That long? I'm probably rusty as hell. Sure, sign me up too, I could use a definite refresher, stat.

Though you know, not all martial arts are taught in a dojo. Classes are also taught outdoors, weather permitting - like tai chi.

I'm not sure when the next season starts either, but from what little I've seen, I definitely like Iroh.

Yikes. Sokka, Sokka, Sokka. That was so wrong. I think I have too much on my mind.

Water Bending is based on Tai Chi. I can hardly wait to learn.

I did some research but couldn't find a start date for the new season. :( From what I could tell, there was hope for a March debut but now it looks like it won't be until later in April.

((My personal favorite character is Uncle Iroh. And the thought of him being Aang's Firebending Master makes me quiver with delight.))

First it was Naruto... now Avatar. It's all that Sider's goes on about!

But Earth martial arts are a lot like circuit-su too. That, I know. We even coined the term "jet-judo" after learning about the judo style here.

...

Too bad you're Track's girl though... I might've considered teaching you what I know. ;p

(( Heh... I've heard of that show. Have yet to see it. ^^ ))

Sideswipe likes Avatar? Doesn't seem like his type of thing. But that's cool.

I think it would be great if you could teach us, Sunstreaker.

Well, yeah. He's a dork who also likes watching Cartoon Network. He just can't get over how those humans can make stuff move around without any special powers or anything. Not like Windcharger, who has that magnetic ability to control metallic things.

Hm...

'Cept I just know Crystallocution and Diffision. You would have to go back to Cybertron to find an elder who's trained in the upper levels of Circuit-su if you want to be more like those Avatar humans though.

Oh, well, okay. Probably be easier to get a human master than find someone on Cybertron.

And I could've sworn that was Sideswipe on Mythbusters the other night.

I find Sokka definately amusing. ^.^; I like Katara, as well. :)

... I didn't know at first what you meant by 'Kataang' or 'Zutara'... so I used that human thing called "Google", and, well... c.c; I can't really say. ^_^; Katara and Aang are definately cute. I don't know where Zutara came from, but... as much as I don't really see it happening, I must admit I can see the appeal of it. ^_^; So I'm neutral on the subject.

I DID find this clip, however... which is just so very amusing. X3 I hope this 'imbedded' clip thing works. o.o;

We're starting to collect quite the class list. ^.^ Do you think that an instructor would be willing to teach us, Frostbite? o.o

And I like Iroh, too. ^__^ He's very wise, and very amusing.

Squees!

That was the cutest thing I've ever seen.

And I agree, I don't see the Katara and Zuko thing. I mean, Katara is sooo good and sweet and loves Aang, right? Zuko is just all wrong for her.

Still can't get over the video clip. *Checks out YouTube.*

I would think it would depend on the style and the instructor, personally, Kali. We would need a lot of space, which means we'd have to be away from any residential areas, and our instructor would have to travel to meet us. It might be difficult for him or her to balance teaching us with other commitments. Some would be very wary of any potential accidents, not only amongst ourselves, but potentially involving him or herself as well. Accidents happen while training, y'know.

It also depends on what style you want to practice. Different styles have a different amount of teachers living in the area, and not all teachers are equal when it comes to skill and the quality of their teaching. Finding the right one will take some research.

And speaking for myself, I would also want to be sure it would serve a practical aspect in other aspects of life as well. Not all martial arts are created equal. Sunstreaker would be a good one to ask concerning which martial arts would be useful and which would not.

Slag, that didn't work...

Maybe.

...

Sideswipe</i< on Mythbusters...? What was it this time?

He was trying to beat a speed camera. I guess he was holding back or something because he couldn't do it. He's now in the opening credits. I wonder how much he paid them. XD And does Frostbite know.
